Smart Data Import

Overview

Besides adding individual projects, entities, or assets in the appropriate areas of the software, already existing and correctly formatted lists can be easily imported or updated by providing a smart data import tool. In addition, an Excel template is available for all three categories to create these lists initially. By default, this contains the mandatory columns specified for each category and can be supplemented with the specified optional columns using the checkbox.

Get started

On the left sidebar, you'll find the Tools area within you can find the Smart Data Import section of the software.

Important

You should always apply a supported date format when creating an import or update file. You can see which formats are supported right at the top of the import index page and as a note on what to do if date values don’t pass the validation process.

Also, pay attention to preventing duplicates when importing Assets, as there is no check for those in contrast to entities and projects.
